A Wee Round Up.

So I have been quite quiet at present and this is due to me being to tired from work and only having 2 days off for the past 2 weeks(!).

At work we have gone to retail, in fact our stalls have been in the Gyle and Buchanan St. Galleries for about a month now and for the past two Sunday's I have been going between them both with 5 hours in Glasgow and 2 in Edinburgh.  It's pretty draining when you consider I'm having a 12 hour day and travelling for at least 3 - 4 hours of them.  I can tell you it is no fun sitting in Buchanan St. Galleries waiting on people buying stuff or just asking for directions!  And it is SO COLD in there, I just sit there my with works hoodie on and my hat and mittens looking sad and sleepy.  Only one more Sunday to go though and then I am back to 9-5 Mon-Fri (CANNOT WAIT!).

This weekend I shan't be at either of retail stands as I will be 'daan saath' with Jaimie, his Maw/Paw and sister for his auntie and uncles surprise joint birthday party.  I'm really looking forward to that, a chance to let my hair down (in moderation as I don't intend on making a complete tit of myself in front of his family...). We leave on Saturday morning and return on the Sunday, it's a fleeting visit but it's nice to get away, even for one night.  I just now need to decide on what I will wear, I'm torn between my new playsuit or my new jumpsuit?! I will just have to take down both...

I have also finished (yes you read right!) my Christmas shopping!  Which has made me extremely happy but left me completely skint, thankfully I don't have any nights out planned as I can't afford to go out.  I have even kept up the tradition of personalised Christmas cards for the family, it's a tad cheesy to have you and your partners face on a card, but 'hey ho' I like it so it will continue!

Another reason I am skint is due to the sheer and ridiculous amount of shoes and clothing I have purchased for myself.  Do I really need 5 pairs of shoes?!  Mainly heels?! In the space of 4 weeks?!   No is the answer to that question, I need none of these things *hangs head in shopping shame*.  So expect a couple more 'I Went Shopping Part ...' in the next couple of days.

So there you have it, this is what I have been up to and am/or getting up to. I have been EXTREMELY boring but hopefully when I have my weekends back I will have more things to blog about rather than work, shopping, work, shopping, work...

A Wee Round Up.

So I've been quite lazy with my blogging over the past few weeks and my excuse is that I have started a new job (yippee!) and when I come home I just want to chill out and sleep.  Yes you have read right folks I have a new job, I am now no longer a cinema employee!  This is my 3rd week in the new job now and I am enjoying it, however it is strange to go from working with 34 people to 3, shift patterns to 9-5 everyday and having the weekends off.  I feel like a proper adult now, I have my own desk, with a big brand new and shiny Mac and a lovely new leather high backed chair, whoever would have thought that I would get so excited about a high backed chair(!).

I also went on a mini break a couple of weekends ago with 4 of my besties up to a place called Portnellan.  We managed to pick up a deal on itison in February and booked it for October.  We thought we would be staying in a log cabin but we were given a cottage(!), it was beautiful and we settled in no time, the view from the cottage was stunning also.  We visited a few places, stayed in in the evenings eating, watching telly and getting a little tipsy... Twas a much needed break for all of us and we are keeping our eyes peeled for more deals like that so we can get the whole gang together!

Then there was Halloween... I spent the morning carving my FIRST EVER(!) pumpkin with Lisa and the evening was spent at Amy's new flat.  Myself and Lisa didn't decide what we were going to dress up as until 4 hours before and we chose go as...(drum roll)... ZOMBIES!  All we did was bloody up an old shirt and zombie-fy our faces, considering we had a minimal about of time I think we did a bloody good job (get it, 'bloody'...Haw!).  Everyone made such an effort, however Paul had put so much more time into his costume than anyone else, he looked wicked and I could barely take my eyes of him.  We had fab wee night, but I left when everyone else decided to go into town as I was skint.  SAD FACE.

And last but not least I went to see the beautiful Katy Perry on Tuesday night at the SECC in Glasgow.  We missed the support act as we never made it through to the SECC until 8:30pm.  It was packed when we arrived and there were lots of folks dressed up and out for a good time, some of the outfits were fantastic.  I was singing my little heart out and Jaimie was trying to sing along(!) and was tapping his feet.  We left at 10:30pm to get the last train back to Edinburgh and we were shattered the next day.  But I urge you to go and see Katy Perry in concert she's amaze and oh so puuuuuurdy!

Gorgie Farm.

I LOVE this wee farm which is nestled in Gorgie, it's still a working farm and you can pick up fruit and veg from there, which is what me and Jaimie did (their sweet potatoes are delish!).  Thankfully it was a dry day when we went and all the animals were out!

G & A get hitched!

Last Saturday my dad's cousin and his parter of 14 years FINALLY tied the knot!  We were not at the ceremony as they wanted a small gathering, but the whole clan turned up for the party, which was fantastic!  It was held in a suite in The Dome on George Street where we were treated to some champagne and canap├ęs on arrival and throughout the night, there was also a DJ who played songs on request, most of them had been put forward a couple of months in advance.

Now, I like a dance and I was quite surprised to see that Jaimie, my non dancing boyfriend was hardly off the dance floor(!), I'm not sure if it was amount of alcohol that he had consumed or just that he was 'feeling' the music and was showcasing some of his best moves (of which he has very few...), however I was not complaining as we rarely dance together, he even had my great auntie up!
Anyway's it was a fab night for everyone who attended, more so for the grooms and we were all suitably merry by the end of the night!
